Appendix C – Using Dollar ($) Variables in your

messages

Dollar ($) variables can be used in alpha pager, e-mail, pop-up and run command messages to

allow up-to-the-second substitutions of current variables to be placed in to your messages. The

following are supported $ variables:

$L – This variable will display the location/description of your SSD as entered into the Location

or Description text box on the Sensor Tab.

$R – This variable will display your SSD’s reading or Boolean state

$T – This variable will display the current date and time

In the case of $R, if a value is not available at the time of substitution, then the string <no value>

is used instead. This can be the case, if the software is in the retry or stop state. DTMF paging

does not support dollar variables.
